Grafton Rifle Club
Family-friendly target shooting in Grafton, NSW.
Established in 1887, Grafton Rifle Club is one of the oldest sporting clubs in the Clarence Valley. We welcome shooters of all experience levels, from complete beginners through to experienced competitors.
What we offer
Target shooting for all experience levels
Grafton Rifle Club offers safe, fully supervised target shooting in a welcoming community environment.
Our facilities include two 100-yard ranges and a main range extending from 300 to 900 yards, allowing members to enjoy a variety of shooting disciplines.
Whether you’re looking to try target shooting for the first time, compete in regular events, sight in a new rifle, or improve your skills, we’d love to welcome you.
We can also guide new shooters through the process of obtaining a firearms licence and help organise the required Firearms Safety Awareness Course.
New to target shooting?
No firearms licence?
If you’d like to experience target shooting before applying for a licence, eligible visitors may be able to participate under the supervision of a club member by completing a NSW Police P650 declaration.
Participation is subject to NSW Firearms Registry requirements and club conditions.
You don’t need specialist equipment
Most of our competitions use common sporting and hunting rifles.
Rimfire events use standard .22LR rifles, and centrefire events are open to most factory centrefire rifles up to 8mm (depending on the discipline and distance).
If you’re unsure, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
